Troubleshooting Sage Error Code 1053
Method I
- Open to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.
- Right-click on Sage 50 Database Connection Manager, then click on Properties.
- Next open to Log On tab.
- Now, type in account user’s name and password ( the same credential use for login into Windows)
- Click on Apply
- Choose General tab.
- Click on Start to restart service
- Exit from Services settings
Method II
- Go to Start and choose Run.
- Next, enter “regedit” then click OK.
- Choose File and then click Export.
- On Export Range click on ALL.
- Create name & location for backup, then click on Save.
- Next, locate registry key of the Accounting Database Connection Manager.
- Double-click on OBJECT_NAME located on the right pane.
- Next, enter LocalSystem in IN_VALUE Data Field of the Edit String dialog box, and then click OK.
- Exit from Registry Editor.
- Next, go to Windows Control Panel, and select Administrative Tools
- Click on Services.
- Right-click on Sage 50 Database Connection Manager and click on Start.
Method III
- Open to Control Panel, click on Administrative Tools > Services.
- Scroll down towards DHCP Client.
- Right-click your mouse and select Stop.
- Scroll down to Sage 50 Database Connection Manager.
- Right-click your mouse and select Start.
- Scroll up towards DHCP Client.
- Right-click your mouse and select Start.
- Now, attempt to reopen Sage 50.
Method IV
- Unplug the Ethernet cable from your computer
- Go to control panel-admin tools services and launch connection manager
- If the program starts without issue plug in the Ethernet cable again.
Method V
- Go to Control Panel
- Select the User Accounts
- Generate new User Account, having complete administrator rights.
- Next, switch the users and verify the services can start without issue from the user account
Note: In case the service is open normally on another user account, then it means the original user account has been damaged, causing it to malfunction.
Method VI
- Go to Control Panel.
- Next, choose System & Security and click on Windows Update > Check for updates.
- Now, attempt to install all updates available then restart your computer.
